  • How many units of Botox will I need?
Every patient will get an individualized treatment plan customized for them. The number of units will vary between patients. I will walk you through a series of animated faces for an assessment and then provide you with the recommended amount of units. A picture is posted below for reference.
  • How often can I get Botox done?
Botox is designed to last for 3 months, therefore, this is how often I would recommend coming in for treatments. Although this is the recommendation, as the patient, you can decide when the time is right for you.
  • Is there something I should do before my Botox appointment?
There are a few recommendations to follow prior to coming in for your Botox appointment. Please refrain from taking Ibuprofen, fish oils, and Vitamin E. You should also refrain from drinking alcohol for a least 24 hours prior. By doing all of this, you will decrease the risk of bruising and will have minimal bleeding.
  • What is lip filler?
Lip fillers are a hyaluronic acid, which is also a natural substance in the body. Hyaluronic acid acts as a lubricant and pulls water from the body to give a more hydrated look. There are different fillers on the market including: Versa, Restylane, Restylane Kysse, and Juvederm. They differ in how long they last and how much structure they provide. Versa is described as a "soft" filler and generally last for 6 months. Restylane is slightly more structural than Versa and generally last from 6-9 months. Restylane Kysse is newer and was specifically designed for the lips. Their new technology allows it to flex and move naturally with the lips and will last for 12 months. Juvederm is the most structural of them all as it is the most hydrophilic. It will last 9-12 months.
